The Freeze KBC FFR helmet is a technicallly advanced, feature packed modular — or flip-up — motorcycle helmet that meets or exceeds DOT motorcycle helmet standards to deliver style, comfort, and riding protection.
The flashy, injection-molded thermoplastic outer shell is shock absorbent and penetration resistant, as is the modular one-piece molded lift-up front. The outer shell and modular front are wet-sanded smooth and painted with premium high-gloss silver paint. Then the black pinstripe flames are hand-applied.
Tough, durable clear polyurethane topcoat protects and adds extra luster and depth to the high-gloss finish and flame-graphics. A single black button on the bottom of the chin bar allows one-handed operation to lift or close the entire modular front without detracting from the helmet's sleek look.
A large window allows unobstructed peripheral vision and is surrounded by a flexible black rubber gasket that fits against the face shield for a tight seal, reduced face-shield noise. The multi-position flip-up ratcheting face shield is made of clear 2.2mm optical-quality injection-molded polycarbonate , treated to resist scratches and fogging. A quick removal shield system allows tool-less shield swapping. KBC Helmet face shield choices for the FFR are clear, light smoke, blue, yellow, iridium silver, and iridium rain.
The FFR is a triple-vented modular motorcycle helmet. Easy-to-find and simple-to-operate press-open chin-bar vent and forehead vent allow air into the helmet. Air circulates freely through the space-frame liner to the inside of the helmet. Molded-in rear air scoops help pull air out of the helmet through the two rear exhaust vents and keep air flowing inside the helmet. The triple-venting system allows all-around ventilation and airflow to keep the rider comfortable at all times.
The interior features a contoured-to-fit polystyrene foam inner shell that contributes to a comfortable fit while helping to absorb left-over shocks and a deluxe dual-fabric space-frame-style comfort liner. The soft, moisture-wicking Duralux liner uses an Airnet micro-fiber netting between liner panels to improve air circulation and comfort. The choice of materials and design not only leaves the head drier and cooler at the end of a long or hot ride, it also allows the liner to dry much faster between rides.
